Practice Tests

Each Practice Test Offers:

Official MEGA Practice Tests. Each official practice test is 100% aligned to test content and is designed to simulate the experience of taking the actual test. Practice tests include explanations for correct responses, and sample responses are provided for tests that include constructed-response assignments.

National Evaluation Series™ Practice. offers full-length practice tests that address competencies and content similar to what you experience on a MEGA test and may provide a helpful additional resource for preparation. There may be overlap in the items included within the two practice tests for a given test field. Tests are available for multiple fields and include explanations of correct responses. For National Evaluation Series™ Practice Tests for which practice tests are available at the time of registration, the practice test will be provided automatically at no additional cost during registration beginning December 5, 2023.

Taking a Practice Test

You will have 120 days to access your practice test, beginning on the date of activation.

While you are testing, you may pause the practice test and return to it later if you wish; you do not have to finish in a single session. Each practice test includes field-specific directions similar to those that will be presented in the operational testing environment. Practice test questions may include graphics, audio materials, and writing assignments, as appropriate. There is currently only one version of each practice test.

After you submit your practice test for scoring, you will receive immediate results showing your domain-level performance on multiple-choice questions. You may also review each item along with the correct response. For tests that include constructed-response assignments, you will also be provided with sample responses and scoring information.

For the MoGEA Writing subtest, your essay will be submitted and scored with results presented immediately, along with sample responses and scoring information.
