Domain I–Movement Skills and Activities
Competency 0001–Understand principles of motor development and efficient human movement.
For example:
- Recognize sequences and characteristics of motor development during early childhood, middle and late childhood, and adolescence.
- Apply knowledge of theories, concepts, and typical progressions of motor learning.
- Demonstrate knowledge of components of perceptual-motor development and how they relate to motor skill acquisition and performance.
